KEY CHAIN DOLL MAKING
Had another grand time with the aurum kids at Xavier Estates last Saturday. Taught them how to make little dolls out of craft wire (skeleton), wood bead (head), different colors of yarn and straw (wrapped around the wire), sequins, cloth and small beads (for the dress).
Even the titas and moms said it was addicting to make. Although it was challenging to wrap the colored string especially at the tip of their hands and feet, they really enjoyed making them. We also assisted them in handling the craft wires.
At the end of the workshop, all the kids were happy to have made their own dolls.

ALTERED BOOK: JOURNAL MAKING
For the MOTHER AND DAUGHTER activity of Rosevale School here in Cagayan de Oro City, GOODIE BOX CRAFTS conducted an ALTERED BOOK: JOURNAL MAKING activity and just added more spice to the afternoon's theme of simply enjoying each other's company while expressing their love and care for each other.
The activity helped these teenagers as well as moms to express themselves through art and loved the idea of altering hardbound books to become journals. So many lessons to learn especially with Mrs. Thelma Mendoza's words of wisdom. This made us love our daughters more.

JOURNAL PROJECT
Had fun creating this very first journal project of mine. I didn't realize that I had lots of old letters and cards, and a lot of stuff that were hard for me to let go of.
Found letters stacked as late as in my high school and college years. They were so fun to include in my journal since it was so nice to reminisce the moment I had with each individual, special in my heart.
Lesson learned from this activity? A LOT OF PEOPLE LOVES ME....yehey!!!
I thought at first it was "just" journaling or making art, but in the end, I realized I was laughing at myself, reminiscing happy moments from the past, and it made me feel good. Now I know how journal enthusiasts are passionate about this art. Kudos! to them. This is yet my first and am not even done with what to do with its cover page.
OTHER RESOURCES:
Journalution: Journaling to Awaken Your Inner Voice, Heal Your Life and Manifest Your Dreams
Visual Journaling: Going Deeper than Words
Journaling as a Spiritual Practice: Encountering God Through Attentive Writing
The Many Faces of Journaling: Topics &: Techniques for Personal Journal Writing
Writing to Save Your Life: How to Honor Your Story Through Journaling

MINIATURE BEETLE CAR OUT OF POLYMER CLAY
Thank God I was able to retrieve these pictures from my phone since I did not have a microsd card reader.
Thanks to my cousin here in Cebu City
, Philippines
because he gave me his extra card which he is not using anymore.
I made this last December 2010, ordered by a student from Xavier High School. She said she will be giving it to her classmate. I enjoyed making it and was another challenge for me to create this stuff since I am only used to creating girly stuffs. I was very happy to mold this red miniature beetle and would love to create one for myself...well of course, purple miniature beetle is my preference...
Is it closer to this?
